About Igor

Dr. Igor Iwanek is a composer, left-handed keyboard performer & NPR feratured well-being diplomat. His music, awarded at festivals in Europe, Japan and the USA reflects his multicultural influences. Informed by Bach and Scriabin, Igor's sonic experimentation is heavily immersed in the seductive world of Indian Ragas and the high energy of Afro-Cuban dance music.

 

Igor is a versatile performer who is at home both in Western and Indian classical musical traditions. Igor is a cerebral hemorrhage survivor who understands the frailty and uniqueness of every breath. As an internationally certified Yoga of Sound instructor Igor educates audiences around the world about how rhythm & music influence our well-being.

Igor teaches at MIT and Boston University and taught at Jackson State University. His articles appeared in the Clavier Companion as well as the academic press.
